She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in the medical field. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Leah into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
As a Physician, Dr. Leah Silver fully understands the importance of modern medicine in today’s society. As the daughter of a woman who battled breast cancer, she is passionate about making sure the latest healthcare innovations are available to all of those in need. She currently practices family medicine at Mercy Hospital, but is also a Physician at Mary Silver Women’s Healthcare Foundation. Named after her mother, the foundation helps provide breast cancer screening and pap smears to women who could not afford such services otherwise. Dr. Silver’s mission is to make sure that early detection is available to all women so each can have a fighting chance at recovery.
Dr. Silver’s dedication to her field is inspirational and the work she has done will afford many opportunities to many women who saw such services as luxuries. In addition to the incredible work she does as a Physician, Dr. Silver is also involved in groups such as the American Osteopathic Association and Women’s Healthcare Foundation, and is an active member of the NAPW St. Louis Local Chapter. Outside of her eventful career, Dr. Silver enjoys dedicating as much time as she can to playing with her son.
