Jennifer Gurley selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

I’m pleased to honor Jennifer with this prestigious award. She is a great example of how education and passion can lead to new pathways to success.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Jennifer Gurley as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in education. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I’m pleased to honor Jennifer with this prestigious award,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “She is a great example of how education and passion can lead to new pathways to success.”

Self-motivated, results oriented and driven to succeed, Jennifer Gurley is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her goals to keep pace with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. Throughout her career, she has exhibited exemplary teamwork, expertise, integrity and dedication.

Ms. Gurley is Assistant Principal at DeSoto Central Primary School, which specializes in elementary education. Since taking on the role, she has consistently demonstrated her multifaceted skills in curriculum development, classroom management, maximum potential coordination, cooperative learning, organization and leadership.

“To me, success is defined by the achievements of my staff and students,” said Ms. Gurley. “It is not about the scores; it is about how much a child improves. It is about helping my teachers reach their full potential.”

Ms. Gurley received her Educational Specialist degree from Walden University. She is currently involved with the National Association of Elementary School Principals.

For her commitment to achieving success according to her personal standards of excellence, and for her outstanding accomplishments in enriching her position with her diversified proficiencies, Ms. Gurley is being honored as a leader and role model for her profession.
