National Association of Professional Women Inducts Raquel M. Thomas, Owner, Into Its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) August 25, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Raquel M. Thomas as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Raquel into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “She is a great example of how education and passion can lead to new pathways to success.”
Raquel M. Thomas is justifiably proud of her success within the past few years. In 2012, her life changed drastically when she gave birth to her loving son and took the leap to entrepreneurship. She started two businesses she felt extremely passionate about: a commercial janitorial cleaning business and Children of Tomorrow Learning Center & Child Care. As Owner and Operator, she focus mainly on human resources and payroll services for both businesses.
“I believe that education is a key pillar for ultimate success,” she said. “Knowing that I can be a helping hand in the beginning of a child’s early childhood education is what has kept me in the industry.”
Before becoming a mother, Ms. Thomas planned to educate her son on her own. She decided she would like to work with parents within the community and promote the growth and education of their children. Her career in educational childcare began in 2013 in a home she owned. Ms. Thomas grew her business and purchased a childcare center. She plans to purchase another center in the first quarter of 2016 to continue her work with children and education.
Ms. Thomas’ advice to upcoming entrepreneurs is to “never give up on your dreams and goals. If you can image it, you can have it if you are willing to do the work no matter what the circumstances are. Invest in yourself and your dreams. I am a dreamer that became a dream catcher.”
