NAPW Inducts Beverly Compton-Amos, Licensed Professional Counselor, FreshStart Counseling Center, Inc., Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle

She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in mental health and wellness. With almost 20 years of hands-on caring experience, Beverly Compton-Amos applies her extensive background was a counseling professional to her therapeutic practice, creating a specialized approach to therapy that addresses each client’s uniqueness. She inspires many people to meet their specific personal or professional goals, while addressing the stress, anxiety and fear that triggers unhealthy coping mechanisms.
Ms. Compton-Amos started as an LPC Candidate Supervisor / Eating Disorder Specialist at FreshStart Counseling Center, Inc., in May of 1996. Since then, she has become a Licensed Professional Therapist, as well as the Owner for the past ten years of the center. She encourages anyone in the Norman, OK, area who feels they need a support system to come to her and the other therapists who will guide them on their way to a new life.
Serving the community, the counseling center provides professional counseling for a variety of issues such as anorexia, anxiety, depression, supervision, religious issues, financial accountabilities, family / marital and parent / child conflict. All counseling services are trustworthy and confidential. Ms. Compton-Amos’ goal, as well as her employees, is to help and guide their clients to live a fulfilling and healthy life.
