The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Paula Barran as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in law. For over three decades, Paula Barran has brought a large amount of knowledge and commitment as an Attorney to her practice. She conducts employment litigation in State and Federal courts while also working to resolve labor disputes and employment arbitrations. Her expertise includes employment laws and trial abstractions along with college and university compliant laws. With her many skills, Ms. Barran expertly manages civil and commercial litigation and legal research as well as legal writing.
As a goal-orientated business woman, Ms. Barran focuses on achieving correct and honest results for all her clients and is optimistic for the future for herself and the company. In addition to eliminating conflicts within the corporate and civil industry, Ms. Barran is currently involved with the American Association of University Women and the Defense Research Institute. She is also dedicated to many charitable establishments such as the Children’s Cancer Association where Ms. Barran is on the board of the organization.
Ms. Barran obtained a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of British Columbia; a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oregon; a Master of Art in Germanic Languages and Literature from Cornell University; a Bachelor of Art in Modern Languages from William & Mary University and a Bachelor of Law from York University-Osgoode Hall Law School.
