The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Amy Smith as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in health and fitness. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

"It gives me great pleasure to present Amy with this important honor," said NAPW President Star Jones. "I applaud her for using her expertise to build a successful business enterprise."

Ms. Smith enjoyed a successful career in education and technology and eventually looked for a way to combine her knowledge in both fields with her love of coaching. She initially became a Certified Personal Trainer, but decided to take it one step further once she discovered The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). “I became a Holistic Health Coach and it all clicked,” she said.

The Owner of Amy Smith Health, LLC, since 2014, Ms. Smith offers individuals, groups and companies a customized holistic approach, always working collaboratively with the client. “I use ‘high-mileage questions’ and active listening, for example, to help both the client and myself gain insight,” she said. “We discover the root cause of the issue while implementing practical, attainable goals from session to session.”

Once a competitive athlete, Ms. Smith uses the skills she honed coaching kids and young adults around the world, as well as interacting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. She brings all of her knowledge to her work helping people reach sustainable lifestyle changes and goals such as weight loss, managing hypertension, diabetes or pre-diabetes, eating healthier and handling stress. Ms. Smith plans to grow her business by offering tele-group programs to reach more people and recently completed a workshop on sustainable high-performance strategies to Hilton Worldwide.
