NAPW honors Patricia A. Blair as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. She is being recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in real estate. As the largest, most-recognized organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 400 Local Chapters.
“My skills and areas of expertise include evaluating and purchasing properties and training and mentoring new employees,” says Ms. Blair.
Ms. Blair was a young, single mother when she moved to New Orleans. She soon found a position working for Cadillac, and with a solid work ethic that she credits her father for instilling in her, she persevered, and was eventually promoted to new car sales manager. During her tenure in the automotive industry, Ms. Blair was clearly a pioneer. “I was one of the first women to work for Cadillac,” she says proudly.
A two-time cancer survivor, Ms. Blair went on to enjoy a long and successful career in real estate and management consulting. She developed a keen expertise for evaluating and purchasing properties. In addition to using those skills for her own success, Ms. Blair selflessly shares the knowledge she developed to train new employees, guiding and advising them as they embark on their own careers. She has accomplished all of this while raising her children and avidly volunteering for such organizations as the Breast Cancer Coalition.
Now, Ms. Blair is making the bold leap into entrepreneurship. She is bringing the myriad of skills she honed over the years in leadership, management and communication to her own consulting firm. “Blair and Associates specializes in business development strategy and talent acquisition for firms in the real estate and automotive industries,” she says. In addition, she will continue her philanthropic work with charitable organizations and foundations in her local community.
NAPW provides an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful professional women where they can aspire, connect, learn and achieve.
