NAPW Brookfield, WI Local Chapter Networked, Shared Goals and Made Exciting Upcoming Plans in September
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- Members and guests of the NAPW Brookfield, WI Local Chapter gathered on September 11th for a professional networking meeting at Baker’s Square in Elm Grove.
The group of professional women spent the evening networking, sharing goals and making exciting future plans for the Chapter.
Brookfield Chapter President Robyn Olszowy kicked off the meeting by welcoming all in attendance.
She invited members and guests to spend some time networking and getting to know one another.
Member Julie Walker, who had just returned from a business trip to China, shared her recent experience with the group.
The Chapter President did an overview demo of the NAPW website. She showed members where to go to sign up online and how to manage settings to get notified in their emails if they receive an NAPW message.
“Don’t forget to update your NAPW profile, making it as robust as possible, and upload a professional looking photo of yourself if you haven’t done so already,” President Olszowy told the members.
Another topic of discussion was about selecting a charity the Brookfield Chapter could get involved with.
Member Janet Reesman suggested the women’s shelter in Waukesha, with whom she has a connection.
“Since those present have all donated to the organization before, it was decided the Brookfield Chapter would look into ways they could help the women’s shelter as a group,” said President Olszowy.
Attendees also took a closer look at the many NAPW Local Chapters that are located around the country. The President reminded members that when traveling, they should check to see if there is one nearby that is meeting.
She reminded them to be sure to touch base with that Chapter President to let her know they are interested in attending the meeting. The group then looked at some of the offerings from member companies.
The group of professional women then took time looking at National Seminars Star12, and what they have to offer.
It was decided that at the next Brookfield Chapter meeting on October 9th, the group would view a 30- to 60-minute webinar. Ursula volunteered to see if she could book a room at the Brookfield Library for this.
The President invited members to join the Brookfield Chapter to communicate with one another, see photos, hear local news and provide comment.
