While waiting for the war to end, she lands a modeling job at a major department store in New York City. Rebelle’s life takes a tragic turn when she learns that her husband has died in the Battle of the Bulge. She moves back to Ohio and desperately tries to suppress her grief. The political turmoil of the era begins to seep into the daily grind of life and forces Rebelle to make difficult choices that will not only leave an indelible mark on her life but three generations of her family.
