National CyberWatch Center Hosts Webinar to Showcase New Cybersecurity Curriculum Offerings
Largo, Maryland (PRWEB) October 27, 2015 -- There are not enough adequately trained cybersecurity experts to handle the frequent cyber breaches happening to the myriad government entities, corporations, and individuals around the country. National CyberWatch Center is helping to improve training of this much-needed workforce through a webinar on Friday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. ET.
Cybersecurity education is more critical than ever as online threats continue to grow, costing businesses millions to recover. The most obvious solution is getting more cybersecurity education programs into institutions to ensure this workforce expansion. National CyberWatch Center’s turnkey curriculum solutions are geared towards those schools starting new programs, or looking to enhance existing programs, and will showcase new and updated degrees and certificate offerings in the upcoming webinar. In addition to offering resources, National CyberWatch will help schools navigate which programs fit best for their institution, along with updated content to support it.
"This webinar is a must for any educator looking to implement a new Information Security degree and/or certificate program at their school; or for those that have existing programs and are looking to keep them current. Webinar participants will see firsthand two of the new National CyberWatch course cartridges (Information Security Fundamentals and Ethical Hacking and Systems Defense), a new, hosted lab environment and sample lab exercises. Participants also will get a chance to interact with the team making this game-changing solution available to schools," said Casey W. O'Brien, executive director and principal investigator, National CyberWatch Center.
