Newport Beach Public Library Brings Downloadable Magazines to Customers
Newport Beach, CA (PRWEB) February 25, 2014 -- Newport Beach Public Library, in partnership with RBdigital from Recorded Books (Prince Frederick, MD), is pleased to announce the availability of Zinio for Libraries, the world’s largest digital newsstand.
With this new resource Newport Beach Public Library customers can download magazines directly to their computer or mobile device for free, unlimited reading inside or outside the library.
According to Library Services Director, Tim Hetherton, “Zinio allows Newport Beach Public Library customers to download over 100 magazines to their computer, tablet or mobile device. Once you download them, they are yours to keep. There’s no cost and no due dates so what could be easier!”
Newport Beach Public Library is currently subscribing to over 125 popular magazines through Zinio. Library card holders have access to full-content, full-color magazines, like “The Economist,” “US Weekly,” “Bloomberg Businessweek,” “ Newsweek,” “ Martha Stewart Living,” “Rolling Stone,” “Car and Driver,” “Shape” and many others. The magazines are downloadable to PC and Mac computers, as well as Apple, Android and Kindle Fire mobile devices. Zinio’s unique technology digitally recreates a magazine page for page, including full color pictures, intuitive navigation, key word article search and interactive elements such as audio and video. Once a customer has downloaded a magazine they can read it as many times as they want. There are no expiration dates to any of the magazines.
