Chewbacca, Medical Marijuana & Video Games in Star Wars Parody
Brooklyn, New York (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- For those of you suffering from post-Comic-Con withdrawals, never fear. A hot, new online series is taking the popular Star War franchise to another level with a parody series that will knock your socks off.
In honor of the 43rd annual Comic-Con, Parody Film Productions’ Bad Wookiee web series heads down a twisted comedic path.
After the debut of the four-short-film parodies, “Episode II : Leia,” where Chewbacca’s new life is tested by his long-standing crush on Princess Leia, he moves on to demonstrating his impressive skills that all Star Wars fans know and love him for as he kills some spare time playing first-person shooter game Modern Warfare 3 in “Episode IX : Baking.”
Creator and director Stephen Gill said the idea occurred to him one afternoon while watching a Star Wars parody on YouTube.
“I mean, you take one look at Chewbacca and you just know he smokes weed and loves his Playstation,” Gill said. “Honestly, it was such an obvious place to go. I’m surprised it hadn’t already been done.”
Can’t get enough of the series? There’s more to come. Two additional short parodies follow on the slate and are due to be released in subsequent days.
