NoSQL DB Achieves 1 MILLION+ Transactions Per Minute With Single Node System
(PRWEB) September 25, 2014 -- Systems and management in companies large and small are struggling to keep up with Big Data—however this is defined for each situation—in order to remain competitive in today’s increasingly complex economy. In Big Data computer environments, the number of transactions/node that is processed by computer systems today is important. Since the number of nodes together in parallel make up the total transaction throughput speed, the speed of each node makes a difference. So, individual node speed is critical to total system speed. A standard transaction could be defined as a minimum of 1 record with at least 1 index. Complex transactions could make up multiple records with multiple indices. Scientel’s stand-alone single node systems have now reached the level of being able to process 1 Million+ transactions/minute.
Each transaction must succeed or fail as a complete unit; it cannot be only partially complete. Since most, though not necessarily all, transaction processing today is interactive the term is often treated as synonymous with On Line Transaction Processing (OLTP). The best Databases must be able to support OLTP. A consistent, easy to use DB that provides referential integrity and concurrency control is also necessary. Having the ability for advanced data management control allows the data to be managed, accessed and made available 24x7. This is a must to support the vast volumes of data generated at high speeds in today’s Big Data environments. Another major factor in Big Data is the need to handle unstructured data appropriately. More than 80% of the world’s data is unstructured -- such items as photos, videos or social media updates -- and can’t easily be handled by standard SQL-type systems. It has been proven that the only way to work with the wide varieties of Big Data is with a NoSQL Database.
Gensonix NoSQL DB is ideal for ALL Big Data processing requirements. It incorporates ALL the major features needed to successfully address Big Data of ANY kind. Perhaps the most important is the capability to support massively parallel processing of data on High Performance Computers (MPP on HPC). Databases need to support high speed interconnectivity of nodes and massive storage and memory management. This refers to the velocity at which new data is handled/processed and the speed at which data moves around, all of which would have to be stored, managed and processed efficiently. Big Data technology must also allow us to analyze the data while it is being generated in real time. Supporting multi-dimensional array processing, Gensonix is capable of very proficient analysis of vast amounts of structured and unstructured data at ultrahigh speeds—e.g., at speeds exceeding millions of transactions/minute.
About Scientel Information Technology, Inc.
Scientel Information Technology, Inc. is a U.S.-based, international, systems technology company, operational since 1977. Scientel also designs/produces highly optimized high end servers, which can be bundled with its "GENSONIX® ENTERPRISE" DBMS software, as a single-source supplier of complete systems for Big Data environments. Scientel also customizes hardware and software for specific applications resulting in higher performance.
Scientel's specialty is advanced NoSQL DBMS design and applications/systems integration for advanced business processes. This includes applications for Big Data, commercial intranets, Supply Chain management, IT consulting, support, etc., along with “beyond mainframe-level” Large Data Warehouse Appliance hardware/systems.
GENSONIX® allows very user-friendly data manipulation capabilities found in standard, SQL-based, database management systems, but it goes beyond. It is truly an "ALL-in-One SQL" -- an “All Data Management System” in the form of an ultra-flexible, NoSQL DBMS of perfectly general capabilities and application potentials. It can also function in concert with mainline SQL systems to efficiently handle both structured and unstructured data as a large data warehouse repository. However, it can handle heavy database loads by itself with the aid of the GENSONIX® NSQL©™ query/procedural language. GENSONIX® supports both telnet as well as http interfaces. GENSONIX® is capable of handling trillions of rows/transactions for billions of customers, which is a huge advantage in “truly Big Data” structured applications.
Business customers can take advantage of Scientel’s capabilities in advanced Business Intelligence and Data Analytics to grow their business by handling Big Data more cost-effectively and with greater insights to remain competitive. Scientific, government, and similar organizations can use these capabilities to efficiently process Big Data, instead of being swamped by it. And, Scientel’s Enterprise Content Management & Search solutions can vastly simplify storage, access, and management of any kind of digitized data for any size organization.
