We've built the first device in this space that actually allows quick data visualization in a beautiful and effortless manner.

Advanced Lumonics Labs, a division of Advanced Lumonics, today announced that it has launched a Kickstarter Campaign to bring its first product, the ORBneXt, to market.
ORBneXt is a Wi-Fi connected, data display device that allows you to visualize nearly any important piece of information, be it stocks, weather, sports, at a glance. Housed in an elegant three-inch luminare quality glass cube, the ORBneXt fits anywhere and allows instant knowledge to be gained simply by looking at the color it is glowing in conjunction with the data you are tracking. For example, when set to track the DOW, the ORBneXt will glow green when the DOW is up or red when the DOW is down.
“These days our lives are filled with nearly endless streams of information but we have no simple way to distill down what is really important to us in a way we can easily identify and act upon,” said Mark Costigliola, Co-Creator of ORBneXt. “ORBneXt solves this problem by allowing you to track what's important to you so that you always know instantly its status at a glance.”
Campaign funds will be used to cover the costs associated with the final tooling, production, and packaging of the ORBneXt. Upon launch, Advanced Lumonics Labs announced that it would begin shipment of products in August.
In return, Kickstarter backers can receive gifts ranging from ORBneXt t-shirts to actual products.
“This is an exciting time for anyone interested in the Internet of Things,” said Costigliola. “We've built the first device in this space that actually allows quick data visualization in a beautiful and effortless manner and with the funds received from this campaign, we can make it a reality much sooner than anyone ever expected.”
