Cablevision's Network DVR Wins Emmy Award for Technology and Engineering

(NYSE: CVC) is proud to announce that the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has recognized Cablevision’s network DVR service with an Emmy Award for Technology and Engineering for its “Pioneering Work in Implementation and Deployment of Network DVR.” The Emmy Award pays tribute to Cablevision for designing and pioneering the first deployable platform to support network DVR.

The 2013 Emmy Awards for Technology and Engineering honors development and innovation in broadcast technology and recognize companies, organizations and individuals for breakthroughs in technology that have a significant effect on television engineering. Awards are presented to an individual, a company, or a scientific or technical organization for developments and/or standardization involved in engineering technologies that either represent such an extensive improvement on existing methods or are so innovative in nature that they materially have affected the transmission, recording or reception of television.
Awards will be presented at a banquet taking place at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas on Thursday, January 9, 2014.
