Oregon ATV Safety Course Now Available at Offroad-ed.com
Salem, Oregon (PRWEB) June 09, 2014 -- Oregon students who need to complete an ATV safety course to get their safety certification can now complete their training at offroad-ed.com/oregon. The new mobile-friendly course is approved by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, and features live-action video and important off-road content.
The course is available on any device, so students can access the course on the Web even if the only way they have to connect to the Internet is via their smartphone. Plus, the course features live-action videos, realistic illustrations and interactive animations that make it easier and more fun to learn how to safely operate an ATV. The course’s safety video series teaches about the appropriate off-road riding gear, riding in various conditions, loading and unloading, plus much more.
“Our goal in developing the new Oregon ATV course was to create an educational experience that would stand out in our students’ minds as a fun and engaging way to truly learn ATV safety,” said Kurt Kalkomey, CEO of Kalkomey Enterprises, Inc., which produces offroad-ed.com. “We ultimately wanted to avoid lecturing. Our content and videos are meant to provide students with the opportunity to explore and select the best option for staying safe while operating on Oregon trails.”
Students can study the material at offroad-ed.com for free. To get a Safety Education Card before operating an ATV, students 16 years of age or older pay a one-time fee only after passing the Certification Exam or after bypassing the course and taking the Challenge Exam. Students younger than 16 who pass the Certification Exam will pay a one-time fee before printing their Online Course Completion Voucher, and will receive their Safety Education Card after successfully completing Hands-On Training.
