New Evidence Suggests Mustaches Can Increase Bicycle Safety
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) August 05, 2014 -- Orp Industries has created a way to allow owners of the Orp Smart Horns a way to transform their familiar, friendly and always ready-for-action Orps into mysterious strangers. The Orpstache kit includes 8 kiss-cut, hiqh quality decals that can turn any Orp into a semi famous B-actor, an intriguing international spy, an old timey Supreme Court Justice type, a double dealing card shark, and even a curious furry mammal. While the appearance of your Orp friend may change, the effectiveness of Orp alerting pedestrians, fellow cyclists and drivers of your presence is not diminished. With Orp, you have both a 76dB friendly sound to warn pedestrians and other cyclists and an even more attention grabbing 96dB loud sound to alert drivers.
"Since getting an Orp I've felt more confident riding to work and now I feel even more safe knowing I've got a little Magnum PI on my side," said Matt Franklin, avid cyclist and Orp owner.
Orpstaches are available now exclusively at Orpland.com while supplies last.
The Orp Smart Horn is the world's smallest combination dual decibel bike Horn and front beacon light all in a USB rechargeable and weatherproof package. It is designed to make cyclists more visible and more hearable.
Former GE Plastics and Nike Industrial Designer, Toren Orzeck created the Orp Smart Horn after two tragic right hook bike accidents happened in Portland Oregon.
To help fund the project, Orzeck founded Orp Industries and launched Orp on Kickstarter in December of 2012. By February 2013 the campaign was successful, raising over $110K USD, exceeding the $90K USD goal.
Production units rolled off the assembly line to backers and customers all over the world in early 2014. Orp partnered with distributor Torcano Industries and is now in over 600 independent bike dealers in the USA, Canada, Korea and more international markets are being opened every day.
