Today, NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association announced Anat Baron, Founder and CEO of StashWall, as the speaker for the 2014 Payments System Awards Luncheon, held during PAYMENTS 2014. PAYMENTS is the largest and most comprehensive education event for the payments industry, and this year, will take place April 6-9 in Orlando, Fl. The Payments System Awards Luncheon, sponsored by TD Bank, recognizes outstanding achievement in the payments industry and annually features an engaging speaker to accompany the award presentations. During this year’s event, in a talk titled Making Lemonade: Creating a Competitive Advantage When the Chips Are Down, Baron will share inspiring perspectives to encourage attendees to find the opportunities that exist even in the midst of rapid change, increased competition and uncertainty.
“Speakers such as Anat help us find ways to identify and leverage the opportunities that are all around us,” said Janet O. Estep, president and CEO of NACHA. “In the current environment of increased consumer expectations, technological advancements and new solutions and players entering the payments space, it is important to understand that these are the types of forces that can inspire innovation, generate growth, and ultimately advance the industry. Speakers like Anat, and others slated for PAYMENTS 2014, provide attendees with an opportunity to reframe and redefine their organizational outlook and position, and identify a strategic vision for achieving desired results.”
An innovative leader, Baron has worked with top tier brands including Four Seasons Hotels, Holiday Inn, KLM, CBS, Warner Bros. and Conde Nast. She was also a Hollywood executive, a management consultant and a successful entrepreneur. While at the helm of Mike's Hard Lemonade, Baron turned around this new company and grew the brand into a $200 million juggernaut within three years, helping to create a new category in the ultra competitive beverage alcohol industry. She is currently the Founder and CEO of StashWall, a technology startup that provides one place for curating and organizing people's information, memories, and belongings. This disruptive company will be launching to the public in the fall of 2014.
With its announcement of Baron as the 2014 Payments System Awards Luncheon speaker, NACHA also announces that it is currently accepting nominations for the 2014 Payments System Awards.
