If you can change your brain, if you can change your thoughts, you can change your life. I’m a perfect example of that.

Positive Changes Hypnosis, the nation’s leading network of behavior modification centers, has now opened a new franchise in Tucson, Arizona. The locally-owned center offers a proven and personalized program that uses life coaching and hypnosis to help people break free of negative thoughts and achieve positive behavioral changes. For more than a quarter century, Positive Changes has helped thousands of clients lose weight, quit smoking, manage stress and anxiety, conquer pain, sleep better, accelerate learning, and improve their overall well-being.

The franchise owner is a familiar face to many Tucson residents. Martha Vazquez was an award-winning anchor at KVOA-TV for more than 35 years. She visited a Positive Changes center in Oregon with a goal of losing weight. It proved to be a life-changing decision: “I thought I was coming in to lose 25 pounds, I did. But, I also lost a lifetime of emotional baggage that was holding me down.”

The transformation motivated Martha to share her personal journey, and help others in her hometown: “I want them to know how accessible and freeing this approach can be for all of us, so I’m bringing the Positive Changes approach here. If you can change your brain, if you can change your thoughts, you can change your life. I’m a perfect example of that.”

The opening of the Tucson franchise is part of an ongoing national expansion for Positive Changes.

“With a new leadership team guiding the national enterprise, we’ve implemented a growth strategy to streamline success for all future Positive Changes franchises,” said Laurie Brunner, CEO of Positive Changes Hypnosis. “We’re investing heavily in the business. We’ve restructured program offerings, launched a new technology platform, developed an integrated marketing strategy and created a new on-boarding and training process for qualified franchise owners, like Martha Vazquez. We are confident that the new Tucson location will be a phenomenal success on account of Martha’s excellent strength and leadership.”

Since its founding in 1987, Positive Changes has helped thousands of people create positive attitudes and take the right steps to improve the quality of their lives. All of the company’s hypnotists go through extensive professional training, and are certified to practice in a Positive Changes Center.

The company has five centers in the U.S., and three in Canada. Another franchise is scheduled to open in Washington, DC later this year. With more and more Americans focused on their wellness, Brunner expects the number of Positive Changes franchises to grow rapidly over the next few years. She says the company has identified attractive markets around the country for possible expansion: “After nearly 30 years in business, our proven approach is very unique. It blends individual support with the shared power of community to encourage and advance milestones of success.”

Martha Vazquez sees the opening of the center as the beginning of the next chapter of her life and career. She credits hypnosis with giving her the tools to live life at its fullest. Now she says she wants to give back to the people and community that she loves.
