Financial Poise™ Premieres “PERSONAL FINANCE & INVESTING FUNDAMENTALS 2.0," a Webinar Series, Airing September 26th, 11am CST through West LegalEdcenter
CHICAGO, IL (PRWEB) September 18, 2017 -- This Financial Poise webinar series is intended for the investor who has an intermediate level of investing experience and knowledge. It assumes the listener knows the difference between stocks and bonds, and the difference between investing in publicly traded stock and investing in a mutual fund that, in turn, invests in publicly traded stocks. It assumes further that there are good many things the listener does not know but is quite capable of picking up quickly. The series begins with fundamentals, such as the concepts of alpha and beta and how to approach reading financial statements and financial journalism. The series then turns to look closely at certain alternative investment objects of fascination: investment in VC/PE/HF (private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds) and investment in "hard" assets like real estate.
The first episode of the series, "Alpha, Beta & Stock Picking," airs on September 26th at 11am CST (Register Here) and features Moderator Chris Cahill of Lowis & Gellen. He is joined by Tad Gray of Financial Solutions Advisory Group, Dan Sottosanti of Wells Fargo Advisors, and Michael Terrien of West Loop Financial.
After buying some stocks, the market goes up (or down). How much of the portfolio's performance is due to the stock picker's savvy (this is alpha) and how much is due to the rise in the market generally (this is beta)? And if the advice of an advisor was used, how much in fees were paid? These and other basic questions about stock market investing and related topics are the subjects for this webinar.
The Personal Finance & Investing Fundamentals 2.0 webinar series is sponsored by EisnerAmper and distributed through West LegalEdcenter. The webinar will be made available on-demand following its live release.
Each episode is delivered in Plain English understandable to business owners and executives without much background in these areas. Yet, each episode is proven to be valuable to seasoned professionals. As with all Financial Poise Webinars, each episode in the series brings you into engaging, sometimes humorous, conversations designed to entertain as it teaches. And, as with all Financial Poise Webinars, each episode in the series is designed to be viewed independently of the other episodes, so that participants will enhance their knowledge of this area whether they attend one, some, or all of the episodes.
