Palm Springs Nissan is extremely excited to announce a major infrastructure investment in environmentally-friendly technology: eco-friendly outdoor lighting for the entirety of the dealership’s parking lot as well as the service drive and service shop.
“To say we’re excited about this commitment is an understatement,” said Abe Razick, General Manager of Palm Springs Nissan. “This new lighting design makes so much sense, both environmentally and economically. Our energy costs go down, our carbon footprint shrinks, and light pollution is reduced. It’s a net gain from every single angle.”
The American-made lighting fixtures are approved by the International Dark Sky Association and utilize Precision NanoOptic Technology, which is designed to deliver light exactly where it needs to be.
As a result, the fixtures will drastically reduce light pollution from each and every lamp, while also reducing energy consumption by more than 50%. The projected energy savings for the dealership are over $50,000 worth of energy per year, and over $500,000 over the life of the product.
"Palm Springs Nissan is a perfect example of a dealership that is ready to make a commitment to the environment by reducing their electricity usage,” said Keen Technical Solutions, who is partnering with Palm Springs Nissan to bring the project to life. “At the same time this will improve the quality of the light, reduce light pollution and pay for itself through the energy cost savings. We are working with other dealers in the area so that we can spread this technology throughout the country."
