New Book Encourages Readers to Start "Dancing with God"
SAVANNAH, Ga. (PRWEB) August 01, 2014 -- Author Pat Howard compares the process of learning to dance with the experience of learning to walk with God in her unique, uplifting new book, “Dancing with God” (published by CrossBooks).
“As I was teaching ballroom dancing, God began to show me an analogy for a Christian’s walk with Him,” Howard recalls. “I taught a series of Bible studies using what God had shown me, and my class members urged me to publish a book.”
Written in a warm, conversational style, “Dancing with God” uses the process of learning ballroom dancing to illustrate the various stages of growth Christians experience as they walk with God. The male dancer represents Jesus leading the way, the female dancer represents Christians following the lead, and the music represents God’s voice directing the dancing steps.
“After your initial step of faith by accepting Jesus as your Savior, you start over as a baby in Christ, a beginner at dancing,” Howard says. “You take one tentative step at a time, and gradually you learn to put them all together to form a dance.”
