Anti-bullying ghost, pupils join forces in Patricia Komar’s new YA novel
PORT MOODY, British Columbia (PRWEB) August 31, 2014 -- Thirteen-year-old Faith Clancy knows there is something mysterious afoot at Hollow Mills Middle School even before she walks through its doors on her first day of school. As she begins her eighth grade year, Faith has no idea that the mysterious presence she feels has been roaming Hollow Mills’ halls since the beginning of time.
In the new young-adult mystery by author Patricia Komar titled “The Ghost in the Hollows” (published by Archway Publishing), Faith encounters an apparition only she can see that has an even firmer distaste for bullies than she does. With the help of this ghostly presence and her newfound friends, Faith learns the importance of trust, friendship and believing in herself.
“Readers will be taken on an adventure that includes mysterious paranormal happenings and find a door where they are taken to another dimension,” Komar says of her new book. “They will live through everyday experiences that many of our youth are faced with in schools and will see how a young girl learns about trust and friendship.”
Komar hopes her young readers will gain a sense of hope and faith in themselves after reading “The Ghost in the Hollows”, having an untapped ability to deal with and overcome any difficulties they may face at school or in society at large for years to come.
