Frederick, Maryland (PRWEB) January 28, 2014

Petrocon Corporation, a national associate to the Land Improvement Contractors Association (LICA), will sponsor the opening ceremony to LICA’s 2014 National Winter Convention to be held in Las Vegas in conjunction with ConExpo. Joseph D. Giovinazzo, President of Petrocon Corporation, will provide an overview of Petrocon’s unique program that benefits LICA members with cost saving solutions in regards to fuel, oil, tires, rubber track, chemicals, waste management, recycling & reclamation, electricity, natural gas, and cellular expense management. In addition, Emily Duong, Miss Pacific Asia America, will also be a keynote speaker during this event. Miss Duong will be speaking on her role as Ambassador of Energy for Minorities and STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Petrocon was formed in 2007, by President and founder Joseph D. Giovinazzo, to benefit construction companies. Petrocon originated as a commercial petroleum consumers group made up of construction companies that leveraged buying efforts to purchase lubricants and antifreeze nationally through a wholesale buying platform. Today, Petrocon gains it strength by providing procurement solutions to the construction, agricultural, cement and ready mix, equipment rental, aggregate and mining, fleet, general manufacturing, automotive, and other heavy industry sectors. Its goal is to provide premium products and service programs targeted to lowering costs to industry organizations for Petrocon’s member clients.

“We’re doing something special for construction, trucking, and manufacturing companies to help them save money through leveraged buying power,” states Mr. Giovinazzo. “Petrocon is the only commercial buying group designed to help lower costs in key commodities while improving the way you apply these products into your fleet. We build as much value into our commodity offering and extract as much value from our supplier network to improve your business and maximize your profits.”

Through consortium buying, Petrocon is able to save its members 10-30% in these commodity materials. Petrocon with LICA represent over 2000 members nationally, and growing 30% annually since 2007. Petrocon is one of the fastest growing and largest commercial buying groups of its kind servicing the construction and agricultural sector. Petrocon has a variety of services to support the products and programs they offer. With over 100 years combined industry expertise, Petrocon offers a unique solution to help reduce operating costs for privately held industry based companies who face an uncertain economic future.

Petrocon is working with LICA to expand its reach to new members; joint marketing efforts are in place for the big show at ConExpo 2014. Mr. Giovinazzo will also be speaking at the ConExpo education forum on “Building a High Performance Fluid Maintenance Program”. This program will benefit contractors, equipment and fleet managers, and construction and trucking owners on how to manage and implement a lubrication program for their fleets.
