Police.us.org To Provide Explanations Of The Most Common Charges In Their Background Reports
Houston, TX (PRWEB) May 09, 2014 -- Police.us.org is set to launch a guide that will detail the various different types of criminal charges that appear on their reports, the company said yesterday.
“Some customers have expressed concerns that they have trouble understanding what the various charges in our criminal history reports mean,” a Police.us.org spokesman said. “That makes sense, because charges are written in legal jargon that many people may not be familiar with. The good news is that some charges are much more common than others, so we can take the time to offer consumers an explanation of what type of criminal behavior they indicate.”
Police.us.org believes this is important because while some people may be able to excuse certain types of minor charges, they take other charges much more seriously.
“If someone got busted with a joint when they were 19, that tells a reader something completely different than if they were busted actually selling drugs,” he said. “The name of the charge will tell the difference, but only if someone knows how to read it. That's the type of information we want to provide to consumers.”
The guide will be included in the members area of Police.us.org, he said.
“Down the line, we will probably also release the information through social media and our blog,” he said. “The goal here is to give people the information they need. That has always been our main objective.”
