Priority Automotive Announces Agreement to Purchase Toyota/Scion of Springfield
Chesapeake, VA (PRWEB) May 06, 2015 -- Priority Automotive has signed an agreement to acquire Toyota/Scion of Springfield just outside Washington, DC. This is Priority’s second dealership in the DC market, following the company’s 2014 acquisition of Nissan of Chantilly.
Toyota/Scion of Springfield was founded in the 1960’s and ownership had remained in the same family for more than 55 years. The dealership was relocated in November of last year to an all new facility on Loisdale Road, just off Interstate 95. The dealership is highly visible and accessible from the Interstate, one of the busiest in the U.S. Toyota/Scion of Springfield’s annual sales place it among the largest Toyota/Scion dealerships in America.
Dennis Ellmer, President of Priority Automotive says that his newest acquisition fulfills a longtime company goal of a major Toyota/Scion dealership in the nation’s capital. “The Washington metropolitan area is one of the largest Toyota markets in the world,” Ellmer said. “I spent many years managing Tysons Corner Toyota so I understand the competitive nature of the market. I’ve anticipated returning to the area with the Toyota brand and I fully expect Priority Toyota/Scion of Springfield to be the largest volume store in our portfolio.”
Acquisition of Toyota/Scion of Springfield brings total new car dealerships carrying the Priority brand to 18, stretching from Washington to Charlotte. Priority also operates several collision repair centers and used car operations.
Priorities For Life, the popular value-added package given with each new Priority car and truck, will be a prominent feature at the new dealership. Priorities For Life includes oil and filter changes and state inspections for life, towing for life, and engines guaranteed for life. Like other Priority dealerships, Priority Toyota/Scion of Springfield will also feature free manicures on Wednesdays and provide many other services not found in most car dealerships.
Ellmer serves on the Toyota National Dealer Council and he was recently named Time Magazine 2016 Quality Dealer of the Year for Virginia.
