The Quilted Steeple Open House Is Scheduled for June 14th
Lone Rock, IA (PRWEB) June 04, 2014 -- The Quilted Steeple is a beautiful quilting and crafting location with overnight accommodations for 14, functional workspaces and plenty of charm. The Quilted Steeple provides the perfect working getaway.
From parsonage to retreat house, from sanctuary to lecture hall. The entire location has been transformed into a quilters dream. The church and parsonage have been decorated with many antiques and antique quilts, giving a warm welcome to all who stay there. The quilts date as far back as the Civil War. There are beautiful hardwood floors which have been painstaking refinished.
Refurbishing the steeple was a project in itself. Over 400 cedar shingles were hand cut to the original geometric design, and put in place. More information is available at http://www.quiltedsteeple.com.
An Open House is scheduled for Saturday, June 14th that will include an outdoor quilt show and trunk show. A "Door"-A-Doodle Workshop will be held on Friday, June 13th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm with Leanne Anderson of The Whole Country Caboodle. This is a $50.00 registration and you can call 515-341-4448 for reservations. This workshop is limited to 15 reservations.
