R.D. Petti discusses afterlife in new spiritual coming-of-age tale
SARASOTA, Fla. (PRWEB) January 07, 2015 -- R.D. Petti’s new book, “Nettie's Tea House: A Tale of the Afterlife” (published by Balboa Press) is a quirky yet moving metaphysical fable about a young woman’s spiritual coming of age. Taking the reader on a fanciful journey of the afterlife and its truths, “Nettie’s Tea House” seeks to awaken readers to their spiritual selves.
Gabriella Bunting is an “everyman” plagued by the angst of society. She leads an unhappy, unfulfilled existence because fears and insecurities prevent her from manifesting meaning or purpose in her life.
After a fatal car crash, Gabriella finds herself at Nettie’s Tea House, a halfway house for troubled souls who have left their bodies, but are unable to transition due to unfinished business. During her stay at the tea house, she learns the universal truths of forgiveness and self-love, releases the fears blocking her progress and awakens to her soul purpose.
“Our world is plagued by violence, fear and so much misery,” Petti says. “Yet, there is a growing preponderance of spiritual seekers working to create a better world and awaken humanity to our higher dimensions of consciousness – which by nature are peaceful, compassionate and unconditionally accepting. The book is meant to aid the cause of these seekers, to help tip the scales, if you will, from darkness to light.”
An entertaining and engaging flight of fancy into the afterlife, “Nettie’s Tea House” takes a playful approach to death, presenting it in a palliative light.
