Considering the increase in price for renting, purchasing a home now benefits buyers any way you look at it, because you can own your own home now for less than what it would cost to rent in many cases.

According to an August 4, 2015 report in the Denver Business Journal, rent in Colorado is up more than 14 percent, which is why Realtor Roberta Steckler says now is the time to buy a home instead of renting.

Steckler, a RE/MAX Masters Millennium Realtor, explained that the average rental rates for three-bedroom, single-family homes in the Denver metro market hit $1,863 per month in the second quarter, an increase of 14 percent over the same period last year.

The report, cited in the Denver Business Journal, was compiled by Real Property Management Colorado, the Denver location of a national property management franchise, and RentRange, a Westminster rental analytics company. Nationally, rental rates for single-family homes during the quarter were $1,320 per month, up 6.1 percent year-over-year.

“Considering the increase in price for renting, purchasing a home now benefits buyers any way you look at it, because you can own your own home now for less than what it would cost to rent in many cases,” said Steckler, who has been awarded the 5820 Magazine’s People’s Choice Five Star Award for six consecutive years.

For 25 years Steckler has been helping buyers and sellers alike realize their American dream. “Not a single day has felt like work,” says Steckler stressed, before adding, “I truly love what I do, and am driven by the fact that each client is different, and will bring something new to the table. I believe that this love is what enables me to give my clients such exceptional customer service.”
