Rotary Senior Living Completes Capital Improvement Project At Their Eagle Grove, Iowa Senior Living Facility.
Eagle Grove, IA (PRWEB) April 09, 2015 -- A recent Capital Improvement Project at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove, Iowa upgraded and expanded the residential shower facilities. Transformation of the area has produced a spa like retreat for the residents.
The project was a collaborative effort in the design and planning with team members Jan Asche, Brandi Larsen, Mallory Lalor and Sam Boeke. Evaluating the current facilities and researching bathing accessibility products were key to the remodel. The team reviewed a variety of fixtures and options that would provide residents with easier access to the tub area and help in prevent injuries and falls.
Creating a spacious spa like experience for the residents was also a factor in designing the layout of the new room. This was taken in consideration with the color selection and other features. While constructing more space was important, it also had to provide the extra privacy for the residents.
Support and consulting with the Rotary Senior Living Housekeeping and Maintenance Departments presented invaluable feedback and assisted in the selection of the new fixtures, color scheme and layout of the new facilities.
A focal point of the new residential shower facilities is the installation of a state of the art whirlpool. The CascadeTM whirlpool not only allows the residents a relaxing whirlpool experience but they are also able to view their favorite television show with the built in TV. The automatically dispensed chemicals during the whirlpool use are an excellent safety feature for the residents.
Rotary Senior Living resident Margaret Sundberg says, “I really enjoyed the whirlpool. I felt very relaxed and renewed after trying it out. I even slept great that night. I can’t wait to take a bath again.”
The construction and suppliers for the project were local Eagle Grove businesses. They included the contractor Lalor Construction, Eagle Building and Inner Dynamic Design.
Residents enjoy a spa atmosphere while the Rotary Senior Living staff also reap the benefits of the new improvements. “I like the option of giving our residents a whirlpool because it helps them relax and sleep very well at night”, states Domino, Certified Nursing Assistant.
Future plans for additional improvements include adding a towel and bath blanket warmer to provide cozy comfort to the residents while they are transport to the new Rotary Senior Living Spa and Retreat.
