ReUseIt.org Partners with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Greater Sacramento Area in Month Long Donation Drive in Honor of National Mentoring Month
Roseville, CA (PRWEB) January 09, 2014 -- ReUseIt, in partnership with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Greater Sacramento Area, is making it easy to de-clutter homes while making a difference locally by hosting a month long Clothing & Household Donation Drive January 1-31, 2014. The Clothing & Household Donation Drive will take place at all three of the Sacramento area ReUseIt Donation Stations located at 4395 Rocklin Road just off I-80 near Granite Drive in Rocklin, 7770 Auburn Boulevard in Citrus Heights, AND 5005 Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento.
All donations dropped off at the Rocklin, Citrus Heights, and Sacramento ReUseIt Donation Stations during the month of January directly benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Sacramento Area.
This unique fundraiser does not cost any money and it promotes responsible recycling. It is a great way to give back to the local community while raising money to fund the mentoring programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Through the generous donations of usable clothing and household items, ReUseIt has helped Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento raise over $120,000 in 2013. Big Brothers Big Sisters has served 325 children this year right here in the Sacramento community. They have also implemented an after school mentoring program in several of our school districts. January is National Mentoring Month and they are looking for mentors, especially males. 70% of the kids waiting for a mentor are boys, but only 3 out of 10 inquiries to volunteer are from men. Your donations of usable clothing and household items will help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento raise money to provide funding for personnel to facilitate matching a child with a mentor.
This unique recycling fundraiser event is sponsored by ReUseIt, a registered, local business that provides support & service to nonprofit organizations in our local communities. The ReUseIt team has over 40 years of experience in the household recycling industry, and is dedicated to making a difference locally. ReUseIt offers local nonprofit organizations the opportunity to raise important funds for their cause without having to spend a dime. All donations are tax deductible.
Donated items that are accepted include usable clothing, shoes, jewelry, belts, purses, backpacks, bedding and linens, housewares, hardware, toys, sporting goods, small appliances and some furniture. For more information, please visit http://www.ReUseIt.org.
