ICOR Encourages All Interested Real Estate Investors to Attend December Meeting
Fort Collins, CO (PRWEB) December 12, 2013 -- ICOR stands for Investment Community of the Rockies, and counts among its members, veteran real estate professionals, bankers, appraisers, mortgage people, and even novice investors. Troy Miller, the Executive Director of ICOR, guarantees that the December meetings, scheduled at the Best Western Hotel in Loveland and at the PPA Event Center in Denver, are going to be jampacked with real estate education and fun activities.
For starters, ICOR will be introducing some of the inductees for the annual Rising Tide Awards. Every year ICOR recognizes some of the rising stars of the local real estate investment community. The ICOR Rising Tide Awards were created not only to celebrate excellence and integrity in investing, but also to recognize the spirit of abundance. Individuals who not only excel in investing but give back in terms of information and knowledge to the community. “Every year we have some amazing success stories among our members. It’s amazing how far some people have come in one year, from when they just started investing real estate, and it is our pleasure to honor them with an award,” said Troy Miller, ICOR’s Executive Director.
A special guest speaker, Larry Stone, will spend some time talking about Obamacare and how it will affect the real estate industry and real estate investing. People may be surprised at the myriad of new laws and regulations. Larry will give a free copy of his book, “Pocket Guide to Obamacare” to all attendees. This is a very important presentation and is certain to contain some eye opening information that will save ICOR members money in this ever changing political climate.
ICOR will also spend some time giving back to the community at its December meeting. Teaming up as a Giving Partner for Habitat for Humanity’s 25 Days of Giving, ICOR will be hosting a “Split the Pot” raffle – half of the pot will go to the lucky winner and the remaining proceeds will benefit the Colorado Flood Relief Effort. Colorado was hit hard by the spring floods, and the Colorado Flood Relief Effort has done some amazing things helping people and communities affected by the disaster to rebuild and reboot.
Another fun and informative activity scheduled for the December meeting is ICOR Shark Tank. The Shark Tank is a panel of investors who put on a fun and educational exercise about real estate investing, finding financing, and pitching deals that isn’t to be missed. ICOR meetings are open to everyone and first time attendees can register online and attend their first meeting free. This will surely be an important networking event to all real estate investors and professionals in Northern Colorado.
