Franklin Park Public Library in Partnership with Recorded Books Announces Launch of eAudiobook Service OneClickdigital and Digital Magazine Service Zinio
Franklin Park, IL (PRWEB) September 17, 2013 -- Franklin Park Public Library (Franklin Park, IL) has partnered with RBdigital from Recorded Books (Prince Frederick, MD) to deliver two new electronic resources: Zinio for Libraries and OneClickdigital. Zinio for Libraries, awarded Best New Database of 2012 by Library Journal, is billed as the world’s largest newsstand, offering multi-user access to popular publications. OneClickdigital is an online service that allows patrons to download audiobooks.
OneClickdigital provides patrons at Franklin Park Public Library free access to a collection of 200 classic audiobooks at home, in the library, or anywhere with Internet access. OneClickdigital is compatible with all popular listening devices, and mobile apps are available for the iPhone, Android, and Kindle Fire. OneClickdigital features an easy-to-use interface with streamlined navigation, fast downloads and automatic software updates. Live toll-free technical support is available at 1-877-77AUDIO.
Patrons of Franklin Park Public Library may now also visit the library’s website for unlimited simultaneous access to complete digital magazines. Zinio features complete, full-color, page-for-page magazines with intuitive navigation, key-word article search and interactive elements such as audio and video. Periodicals can be viewed on most Internet-enabled devices inside or outside of the library. Car & Driver, Good Housekeeping, National Geographic, Readers Digest, and Vandidades are just a few of the popular titles that are available.
“Zinio is a nifty way to read magazines on your tablet, smartphone or computer. With free, 24/7 access to over 40 popular magazines, you are never far from something to read, and new issues arrive all the time. It’s a great way to save money on magazine subscriptions, too,” says Vanessa Morrison, the Library’s Coordinator of Information & Digital Services.
