Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel to Throw Harvest Block Party to Benefit Charity
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) September 27, 2013 -- The Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel will throw a harvest-themed blowout party destined to be a pumpkin-smashing hit, and everyone is invited.
The Phoenix event is expected to take place from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, around the hotel at 50 E. Adams St. Revelers can expect to enjoy cold, locally brewed beer from Mudshark Brewery while dancing to beats dropped by DJ William Reed. Partygoers will enjoy an epic cornhole tournament, pumpkin bowling and jumbo Jenga – just to name a few activities slated for the party. Seasoned Phoenix Metropolitan Opera dancer Liliana Gomez will perform, and painter Ashley Macias will create artwork live. As a bonus, an interactive community canvas will give everyone at the event the opportunity to indulge in their own creative sides. Flower Street Urban Gardens and its signature city-friendly flowerbeds will be on display for nature lovers to admire. Partyers will enjoy feasting on tasty seasonal treats, including butternut squash bisque, Mudshark beer fondue and vegan bratwurst. One lucky guest will walk away with heavier pockets after winning cash from a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds directly benefit Seed Spot.
Seed Spot is a nonprofit organization that supports local Arizona entrepreneurs striving to get businesses off the ground that will improve lives on a local, national or global scale. The agency’s programs provide training and mentorship to Arizona residents who aspire to start a sustainable business with a social mission.
“We’re very excited to invite the Phoenix community to our downtown hotel for a fun night in support of Seed Spot, an organization that does so much for Arizonian entrepreneurs,” said General Manager Paige Lund. “We’ve got a fantastic lineup of party games, entertainers and local artists. It’s sure to be a really great time.”
To make the most of the night, revelers are invited to stay in one of 520 rooms or 80 suites at the downtown Phoenix hotel and enjoy a sounds night’s sleep on thick Serta mattresses topped with luxury bedding and soft, fluffy pillows. Rooms feature elegant finishes such as granite surfaces, embossed wall paper and upholstered headboards. In-room entertainment is available on 32-inch flat-screen TVs with premium channels CNN, ESPN and HBO as well as movies on command. Spacious desks with ergonomic chairs and easily accessible electrical outlets provide excellent workspaces. Rooms offer a coffeemaker, iron with ironing board, bathrobe and hairdryer so that guests truly feel at home at the downtown Phoenix hotel.
For any guests who wish to keep the party going after the harvest festivities end, the Phoenix hotel bar, Icon Lounge, will be open and serving beer, wine and expertly mixed martinis and cocktails. In the morning, American-style breakfast is served at the hotel’s main restaurant, Marston’s Café, which is also open for lunch and dinner. The hotel’s well-equipped fitness center offers guests the opportunity to stick with their fall workout routines, and the heated rooftop pool is a relaxing retreat after the exercise is through.
The downtown Phoenix hotel is convenient to the Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix Zoo, and the art and museum districts. The hotel is providing complimentary bicycle valet for downtown and central Phoenix residents who attend the event and wish to leave their cars at home. Attending the event is free of charge.
