Reno, NV (PRWEB) September 20, 2013 -- The Aria School of Music and Art in Reno, Nevada is a 501(C)(3) non-profit school. Classes range in all skill levels from those just beginning to learn the piano to those who have more advanced knowledge of music. On the home page of the website is a scholarship application that could be beneficial for some needy students.
Music lessons provide children and adults with more than just the ability to play an instrument. Taking lessons requires daily practice for continued success. This instills personal discipline. As a student progresses in their musicianship there will be a point that they will be expected to demonstrate what they have learned during a recital or a group performance. The ability to perform a new skill in front of an audience builds character and self-confidence.
As a federal non-profit school, Aria is able to apply for grants that can give to those children in the community who come from low income families a chance to learn a musical instrument. The staff is very involved musically in the local community and regularly participates in charity fund-raising. They strongly believe that having a solid musical foundation will lead to a stunning performance in other arenas of life.
