Replise, the social intelligence company, announced today its nomination in two categories for the prestigious AMEC awards this year. Replise, a leading provider of social media listening and intelligence solutions, has entered its recent Mustard research report in two categories: Best Use of Social Media Measurement, which recognises entries that demonstrate best practice in measurement in the digital space; and the Innovation award, which show novel, innovative ways to track and measure communications performance through research and measurement. The research project submitted to AMEC for consideration is a qualitative study of one of the most iconic symbols of British culture: mustard. The brief required the research to discover the breadth and depth of the semantic network surrounding mustard in social media, identify key stakeholders as well as blank white-spaces on the market, so the customer could formulate its marketing strategy to successfully penetrate an already oversaturated, highly competitive, mustard-savvy market with its own products. Daniel Fazekas, Head of Research at Replise also pointed out that this novel approach to discovering the social media space provided the client with a carrier-wave for their marketing communication, as they could capitalise on the existing conversations for their own brand purposes. Anna Halasz, Research Director, also emphasized that the results of the study had to heavily rely on the qualitative analysis of the data, which is often overlooked by many other vendors.

The 12th annual AMEC Awards will take place alongside the International Summit on Measurement in Amsterdam on 12 June 2014.
