Resorts Travel Club Names its Top U.S. Travel Destinations for 2015/16
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) November 10, 2015 -- This year’s top U.S. travel recommendations from Resorts Travel Club are out. Many of the nation’s best-known cities made the list, but there were some surprises as well, including Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Savannah, Georgia.
The full listing of Resorts Travel Club’s suggested fall/winter tour destinations includes the following:
New York City: Fall and winter travel in New York is special for those who want to spend time in Central Park watching the leaves turn magnificent colors. Holiday shoppers can head to SoHo and cross a few items off their lists.
Savannah, Ga.: This Georgia city is famous for its fall music festivals, food and historic architecture. Savannah is becoming a year-round favorite for many U.S. travelers. Resorts Travel Club recommends any of Savannah’s many film festivals as a must-do while on vacation.
Jackson Hole, Wyo.: Granite Hot Springs and Grand Teton National Park are big draws for travelers to this rustic destination. Temperatures range in the 60s and the views are breathtaking, especially in the fall. Resorts Travel Club notes that Jackson Hole is the smallest of the six locations chosen for the 2015/16 listing.
San Francisco: Fall is the perfect time to see San Francisco. Summer crowds are gone, but the Golden Gate Bridge is still there, as are Lombard Street, Alcatraz, and dozens of other national historic landmarks. San Francisco is also known for its wide array of international foods and Fisherman’s Wharf.
Yellowstone: No crowds in the fall tourist season, but travelers can still snap a photo of wild buffaloes and other unique wildlife.
Boston: Boston Common and the Freedom Trail are just two of the hundreds of historic and noteworthy places to visit on any tour of Boston, one of the most historic cities in the U.S.
The six places chosen by Resorts Travel Club for fall/winter travel in the U.S. for the 2015/16 cycle cover the nation from east to west and north to south. At least five of the chosen cities are rich in historic landmarks. That makes them excellent places for families to spend at least a week.
San Francisco and New York City are locations that Resorts Travel Club chose for their rich cultural heritage and abundance of tourist attractions. Resorts Travel Club recommends Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Yellowstone for those who want a more rustic getaway and one that includes plenty of natural surroundings, wildlife and spectacular views.
