Ritchie Way introduces new interpretation of Revelation 20
AUCKLAND, New Zealand (PRWEB) November 20, 2014 -- The new book “Trimillennialism: Revelation 20 and the Final Judgment” (published by WestBow Press) by Ritchie Way, introduces a new and previously unknown interpretation of the millennium in Christian eschatology, which he calls trimillennialism.
Revelation 20 prophesies a 1,000 year reign of Christ in the end times of the world. Different theories abound on the actual interpretation of this scripture. Some believe that Jesus will have a literal, 1,000-year-long, physical reign on the earth – premillenialists – while others reject this belief, and maintain the 1,000 years is a symbolic number, not a literal description – amillenialists.
Way’s trimillennialism interprets the prophecy of Revelation 20 as having three phases – inauguration, fulfillment and consummation – concluding that amillennialism and premillennialism are not contradictory beliefs, but complimentary parts of his own trimillennial interpretation, respectively filling the seats of the trimillennial fulfillment and consummation phases.
Way’s groundbreaking interpretation has significant implications for the reading of the rest of the book of Revelation. “Trimillennialism” also provides fresh insights on original sin, the essential difference between a saved and a lost person, the depth of the sacrifice Christ made on the cross, the nature of the punishment of the unrepentant and the present location of heaven.
