The law firm of Robinson+Cole has revealed a new look, complete with a new logo and a new website.
Among the changes to the firm’s identity are brighter, bolder colors and a streamlined user experience on http://www.rc.com, but the most striking change is the replacement of the ampersand in its name with a plus (+) sign.
“Our firm was founded in 1845, and through the years the core philosophies of the firm haven’t changed. But the way we do business has, and it was time for our brand to reflect the modern culture of the firm with a new look,” said Brian T. Smith, director of marketing and business development.
The + sign is used as a symbol of connection to exemplify the power of the Robinson+Cole community to provide solutions to its clients by joining with others, cultivating deep relationships with industry, business, community, and law leaders to create more than it could do alone. Another element that builds on the connection symbol is the use of hexagons, representing strength, connection, and innovation, and the commitment of everyone at Robinson+Cole to both their work and their community as a whole. The firm collaborated with New York–based brand consulting firm Monaco Lange on the new logo and look.

Beginning today, visitors to http://www.rc.com can view the new logo and branding. The website now spotlights more of the firm’s key areas that people coming to the site are looking for, in fewer clicks and with an easier-to-navigate architecture. The website’s architecture was built by PaperThin, a Massachusetts–based web services provider, using its CommonSpotTM content management system.
“Clients, prospective clients, and other visitors to our site will be better able to search our firm’s capabilities and experience by practice area or industry,” said John B. Lynch Jr., Robinson+Cole’s managing partner.
One of the new website features that users will find helpful is a thought leadership page where visitors can quickly and easily see recent newsletters and access the firm’s four blogs.
