Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove, Iowa Management Staff Participates in New Staff Development Program
Eagle Grove, IA (PRWEB) July 23, 2015 -- It is a new direction at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Here the management team and staff members are taking the steps to learn more about themselves, their co-workers and all the things that influence their day to day lives and work settings.
Starting with a session lead by Cliff Said, a well-known regional consultant, the staff experienced a one-on-one seminar that provided an immersion of inspiration and follow through assignments.
The class received the book “Who Am I Really” authored by Cliff and talks about the fact that life is not easy and is not without pitfalls, pain and sorrow. Cliff guided the staff to see that it is, however, full of joy, happiness, and incredible love. After the seminar, assignment of chapters were given to individual staff members. Each staff member then took that assigned chapter and facilitated the scheduled Tuesday afternoon trainings with their co-workers.
“We have found that this has been an excellent learning experience for all the staff. It has helped to not only have a better understanding about ourselves but also to understand our co-workers,” states Brandi Larson, Director of Nursing at Rotary Senior Living. “Our staff has now been able to take this training to the next step to assist us in understanding our residents better and therefore being more responsive to their individual needs.”
Another advantage of the new program is that it has empowered the staff and encouraged teamwork during the training sessions and then throughout the actual working environment. The success of this program has inspired the Rotary Senior Living management and staff to expand the project and incorporate trainings like this as a regular employee benefit.
