I look forward to competing with STX products in Rio and feel it’s a great fit for me as I play in the most high profile games of my hockey career.

Baltimore-based STX, LLC, a global sporting goods leader, has signed a multi-year contract with Team USA field hockey midfielder Kelsey Kolojejchick.

Kolojejchick will be involved in the development, feedback and testing of STX’s field hockey equipment through the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro. Kolojejchick will compete with the Stallion 700 stick and joins fellow Team USA field hockey players Katie O’Donnell and Jill Witmer as an STX athlete.

“Looking towards the Summer Games, I’m thrilled to partner with a company that is constantly innovating and equipping athletes to reach their peak performance,” said Kolojejchick. “I look forward to competing with STX products in Rio and feel it’s a great fit for me as I play in the most high profile games of my hockey career.”

Kolojejchick was the first player at University of North Carolina to be named National Field Hockey Coaches Association First Team All-American all four years. From 2003 to 2009, she traveled on multiple tours as a member of the U.S. Junior National Team. Since being named to the U.S. Women’s Team in 2012, Kolojejchick has made an immediate impact on the field with over 60 international caps. Most recently, Kolojejchick helped to secure the U.S. team’s spot in the Summer Games with two goals during the 2015 Pan American Games Semifinals against Canada.

“Kelsey was an instrumental force in Team USA’s gold medal win at the Pan Am games and we couldn’t be more excited to have her join our team as she heads to Rio,” said Carrie Macioce, Field Hockey Category Brand Manager at STX. “As we continue to grow and evolve our field hockey line, Kelsey’s talent, dedication and drive make her a terrific fit for the brand.”
