Respected, solitary octogenarian from the nonacademic world, Sadhu S. Sarma in his latest book, “Dialectics of Evolutions Systems Approach and New Frontiers of Philosophy,” produces a thesis bringing new insight into trends in history leading to a new interpretation of history and society, from an evolution systems point of view. The formation, expansion and decline of systems in nature are explained in an unprecedented manner.
A new win-win strategy is suggested for a more prosperous, more peaceful society in the future. The strategy consists of common man raising himself from being mere object of history to taking a more active role as the subject of history. This is sought through universal development of scientific tenor, and modification of certain beliefs and behavior based on principles of swarm intelligence. Every individual may then learn to understand and contribute to the control of natural and social forces.
Macro level changes could be controlled or at least influenced through micro level changes. Readers, researchers, policy makers, decision makers, think-tank intellectuals and universities thirsting for better societies may find refreshing light in this book.
