SameGrain, Inc. (http://www.samegrain.com) was recently selected from nearly 200 start-up companies to pitch at the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association’s (MAVA) Fall TechBUZZ event this Friday, September 13th at Georgetown University. TechBUZZ is the area's premier event where early-stage entrepreneurs and active investors come together to see the best and brightest while also celebrating the strength of the region’s start-up scene. This year’s event features Ted Leonsis as the keynote speaker.
SameGrain will be one of 18 start-ups to take the stage from a wide-range of technology sectors. Presenting companies were chosen by a MAVA advisory group of business mentors and active technology investors.
“Over the past year, SameGrain has been selected to present at Entrepreneur Expo, Distilled Intelligence 2.0, and other regional events, so we are excited to have the opportunity to showcase SameGrain at TechBUZZ,” commented SameGrain Founder and CMO, Anne Balduzzi. “With each presentation we have more successful milestones to share.”
Eric Eller, SameGrain Co-Founder and CEO, added, “SameGrain has also been asked to present at Cooley’s Capital Call event later this month in D.C. and again at two upcoming TechBreakfast events in Northern Virginia and Maryland.”
Since 2011, TechBUZZ presenting companies in total have received more than $70 million in disclosed funding, with more investments and acquisitions remaining in undisclosed terms. SameGrain, located in the Emerging Technology Center (ETC) incubator, is currently in closed beta, has secured their first platform partner, and is raising a $750,000 investment round.
