“Emissions tuning will help save on gas,” said Dan Marshall, owner of AMPS. “This tuning will help your burner run more efficiently to help you save on fuel costs while simultaneously helping the environment.” The complimentary emission tuning will be available now through December 31, 2015.
Zero Emissions Day was intended to be a temporary respite from using fossil fuels, in order to increase awareness of this finite resource and how people might change their actions on a daily basis to conserve it. The guidelines for the day were to not use or burn oil, gas or coal, and minimize, or even eliminate, the use of electricity powered by fossil fuels.
According to Recyclebank, electricity derived from fossil fuels is the biggest contributor to air emissions in the United States. These emissions contribute to smog, acid rain and climate change, which are believed to create conditions that cause catastrophic events such as forest fires, disease breakouts and droughts.
“Each of us has an obligation to take care of our planet and emissions and tuning is just one easy way to do this,” said Dan. “AMPS is passionate about helping the environment, which is why we are offering this complimentary service.”
