Breast Cancer Survivor Group, Send Me On Vacation, Presents “Pink In The Park”
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) September 06, 2013 -- Send Me On Vacation, a 501(c)(3) charity, is excited to announce “Pink In The Park,” a benefit concert at the Fashion Village at Boca Park in Las Vegas on October 19 from 1-5 p.m. in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event will be hosted by two local Las Vegas talents; Jack Walker, a world-renowned vocal entertainer, and singer and author Rhayne Thomas. The event will be hosted outside of the Sambalatte and Eccoci stores at the Fashion Village at Boca Park.
“We started out thinking this event would be 30-32 people in a coffee shop, and it’s turned into taking over the entire shopping center and blocking off roadways for a major-production event,” Gene Backus, who is on the Board of Directors for Send Me on Vacation, said. He is thrilled at how well the event has been received by those involved, as well as the positive response they have gotten to their cause.
Send Me On Vacation is equally as delighted to announce that many of the stores in the shopping center have donated items, services and more to be raffled off at the event in order to raise funds.
Musicians, comedians, magicians and more will entertain the crowd while money is raised for a great cause. Several top performers in Vegas are also slated come to the event for a surprise performance.
Send Me On Vacation set a target of sending five Las Vegas breast cancer survivors on vacations to rejuvenate their mind, body and spirit.
“It makes me so happy to know that these ladies will be given a chance to relax and recharge after successfully battling breast cancer,” said online reputation expert and board member for SMOV, Walter Halicki. “’Pink In The Park’ is going to be a great event for everyone involved.”
Send Me On Vacation’s mission is to “provide a much needed vacation to women with cancer who have undergone treatment and need to rejuvenate and heal their body, mind and spirit.” Send Me On Vacation knows that the cost of cancer treatment can be devastating and taking a much-needed vacation may be financially out of the question. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, they have created this event in order to raise money to send women in need on the vacation of a lifetime.
