Sennseis Launches Global Community to Enhance Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)
Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) September 15, 2014 -- Sennseis, a new Silicon Valley company, has launched a global online community to support the Greater Good Science Center’s massive open online course (MOOC), "The Science of Happiness." The course -- which has attracted more than 100,000 students -- is the first MOOC to teach the ground-breaking science of positive psychology, which explores the roots of a happy and meaningful life.
The new community will seek to enhance the learning experience by enabling students to find, engage, and learn with their peers and experts around the world in a number of forums on specific areas of interest: general wellness, mind and body, the workplace, relationships, positive computing, peace and conflict resolution, and multicultural issues. With the support of Life Reimagined -- a new AARP initiative (http://www.lifereimagined.org) -- the community will look for ways to co-create new learning experiences for adults of all ages in the global community.
WHAT: "The Science of Happiness Learning Community," a joint collaboration between Sennseis.com and the Greater Good Science Center (GGSC) at UC Berkeley
WHY: To give students enrolled in the "The Science of Happiness" MOOC the opportunity to interact within smaller groups of people with the same concerns and interests
WHEN: Launched September 8, 12 midnight Pacific
WHERE: Registration for the community is available at http://ggsc.sennseis.com
