About the Author
For more than 30 years, Sheldon Cohen has been part of America’s music community. He was educated at Brooklyn College, The Julliard School of Music and Hartnett School of Music. He became the Assistant Music Director for The Tonight Show, starring Johnny Carson, in 1962 to 1992, among many other achievements in the industry.
Recently, Cohen has become the Musical Director for the San Fernando Valley Male Chorus and has formed his own Swing Band, The Swing Tones. In addition, he has produced and recorded numerous albums for many recording companies, two of which were nominated for Grammy Awards.
More recently, Cohen has branched out to write and produce shows for the stage. His latest projects were two shows for the West Valley Playhouse, “Klezmer Goes Hollywood” and “Once Upon a Time on Broadway.”
