Shweiki Media Printing Company Announces Sponsorship of Flashback, a Dance Party and Fundraiser for the Austin Children's Shelter
Austin, TX (PRWEB) February 17, 2014 -- Shweiki Media Printing Company is excited to serve as a sponsor for Flashback, a dance party and fundraiser benefiting the Austin Children’s Shelter, by taking care of all the printing needs for the event.
Austin Children's Shelter provides a continuum of services designed both to treat and prevent child abuse and neglect. Their residential and community-based programs provide a safe and nurturing environment, reduce emotional trauma, and prevent further abuse. They include: emergency shelter for children removed from their homes; a transitional living program for youth preparing to age out of foster care; a teen parent program; foster family placing services; therapeutic prevention programs that work with at-risk families; and a child development and family support center that offers affordable child care, parent education and coaching, and more. The children, youth, and teens in our residential programs all receive intensive educational, counseling, medical, and case management support to help them feel safe, heal and make a positive and lasting difference in their lives.
Flashback is an over-the-top ‘80s and ‘90s dance party benefiting Austin Children’s Shelter. The event is for anyone who loves the music, fashion and fads inspired by these totally awesome decades. The party, hosted by the 101X duo Jason and Deb, includes a costume contest, hit dance music from the eras, silent auction and more. To date, Flashback (formerly called New Wave Ball) has raised over $152,600 through its 1,500 attendees to help the Austin community’s children, youth and families in need.
