McKinney, TX (PRWEB) April 15, 2014
The recent purchase of Effective Training, Inc. (ETI) by SAE International has resulted in a new partnership between the global engineering association and Sigmetrix, world leader in the tolerance analysis and GD&T software space. Sigmetrix and ETI combined their expertise to develop Sigmetrix’ GD&T Advisor - the preferred GD&T software solution that empowers designers to communicate permissible levels of imperfection in real-world manufactured parts, all from within the CAD environment.
GD&T Advisor greatly improves accuracy and productivity when applying GD&T. The software simplifies the understanding of the complex standards by providing readily available guidance during every step of the application process. GD&T Advisor offers function‐oriented guidance, allowing the user to correctly apply GD&T in the 3D model environment. The Interactive Help feature, created by ETI provides instructive, educational support, consisting of a content‐sensitive use guide that links to an entire GD&T Encyclopedia.
“The correct use and application of GD&T is a vital part of any mechanical assembly design,” remarked Kevin Perry, EdD, Manager, Professional Development, SAE International. “Our recent purchase of ETI enables us to partner with Sigmetrix in bringing this powerful tool to even more users and strengthens our pledge to being the ultimate knowledge resource for the engineering profession. We are very proud to be working with Sigmetrix and look forward strengthening this alliance and to working with them on future releases and enhancements of GD&T Advisor.”
“Sigmetrix is proud to be aligned with such a positive force in the mechanical engineering space,” stated company President and CEO, Chris Wilkes. “We look forward to all future collaborations and to continuing with our commitment to provide the best robust assembly design solutions available anywhere.”
