“Slow Down, Henry! A Life Lesson for Some of Our Favorite Little Friends and Also for Some of Our Not-So-Little Friends” (published by iUniverse) is a story about a young boy named Henry who is always in a rush. Being in a rush does not serve Henry well: he burns his hand on a pie and drops it on the floor; he gorges himself on his lunch so quickly he gets a stomachache; he grows impatient when he must walk instead of ride in the car with his mother.

Author Meryle Wooster was inspired by her own five-year-old son, who was always in a rush. She hopes “Slow Down, Henry!” will encourage other children to take things easy.

With illustrations and a story filled with high jinks and laughter, young readers can be entertained while learning a valuable lesson about patience and self-restraint.
